The Sugary Debuts Its Rittenhouse Shop, Bringing An Elevated Level Of Dessert Deliciousness To The Neighborhood

Just up the block from Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and replacing Latimer Dry Cleaners, the new dessert shop from East Falls fits perfectly within the neighborhood.

Construction is always exciting because it signifies something new and exciting. However, we’re unsure if there is anything more exciting like a new bakery such as The Sugary because who doesn’t like sweet treats?

Know for its gorgeous custom cakes, the East Falls-based shop was excited to open up in Rittenhouse, and has applied its artistry to every aspect of the shop, including the custom logo on its window.

It’s not a big shop but it doesn’t need to be as you’re immediately drawn to all the pure deliciousness in its display cases, like strawberry cake slices, coconut pistachio cupcakes, brownies, and more.

There’s another, smaller countertop display with cookies. We tried the almond croissant cookie which tastes exactly like an almond croissant, only in a baked, soft cookie form.

Even more deliciousness awaits on the counter, in a pretty glass display.

There’s a wide array of coffee-based and non-caffeinated drinks, meant to complement the tasty treats available.

The bakery isn’t big but there is a rockstar seat, right by the window.

There are also candles AND cards, making The Sugary your one-stop shop for celebrations!

The staff is adorable, know their craft well, and are happy the bakery is open after months of careful construction. Pictured below: Jon & Liliana!

The Sugary will be creating custom cakes at this location soon. So it’s likely the flavors will rotate OR there may be some fun items to taste check!

Be sure to stop by to say hi and follow them on Instagram!
