Game of Throws: Eatertainment Brand Flight Club Darts Brings British-Inspired Fun to Rittenhouse

The U.K. based company brings both style and fun to a traditional game, and fits in perfectly right near Broad.

The latest, greatest eatertainment option in the neighborhood has arrived, and it’s grand: Flight Club, the high-concept darts venue that’s already stormed London and New York faster than Netflix greenlights true crime docuseries, has officially opened its Philly venue in the former Citizens Bank location.

A scoreboard tracks the number of darts thrown.
Lights, darts, action

The moment you walk into Flight Club, it feels like stepping into a swanky English pub. The spacious venue balances traditional British charm with modern flair in a way that felt refreshingly authentic to us.

That wood is QUALITY

Forget everything you know about darts—this isn’t the sticky-floored corner of a dive bar where Sixers fans drown their sorrows. Because you know that’s your special place and it’s always a special time for that. Flight Club’s overall atmosphere encourages mingling and moving around, making it ideal for social gatherings of all types. And the vibes? Stylish as hell. Check out all the different booths and they even have a private room.

Ornate light fixtures hang from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the entire space. The English-inspired décor includes framed portraits of dogs that look like they have trust funds (my personal favorite!), an eclectic mix of tea saucers, lush hanging plants that would make even the most dedicated pandemic plant parents jealous, and artwork that somehow makes the space feel both cozy and sophisticated.

What sets the darts aspect of Flight Club apart is its high-tech approach to the classic game. The venue features personal “booths” that can accommodate groups of up to 11 people (but only six can play at a time). Also, there’s no need to keep score as an electronic scorecard above each board tracks every throw, and when someone wins, the screen flashes celebratory GIFs. For us, it’s a perfect blend of traditional darts and a fun use of tech.

For those who can’t bear to miss an Eagles game (obviously!) TVs are strategically placed throughout the venue. And even if darts aren’t your thing, there is other stuff. Even if your hand-eye coordination is questionable (speaking for a friend), there’s more than just darts. The expansive bar serves up creative cocktails and a solid selection of beers, along with good food that elevates the experience beyond mere gameplay.

Throughout the Philly space, you’ll discover cozy nooks perfect for having actual conversations. During our visit, we spotted some areas that would be perfect for first dates—intimate enough for connection but public enough to make a quick escape if they start talking about their crypto investments.

At $15-17 per person (depending on when you go) for a 90-minute session, Flight Club offers solid value for a unique night out. Because in the landscape of Philly entertainment options, where axe throwing and escape rooms feel so 2019, Flight Club hits a sweet spot: it delivers a place where we can simultaneously enjoy each other’s company while hurling pointed objects at a target—a metaphor that’s kind of perfect for nowadays.

TL;DR: In our throwing sharp objects + drinks loving opinion, the combination of friendly competition, stylish surroundings, and rational pricing makes Flight Club a welcome addition to our eatertainment options. And wait until you see their brunch mimosa tree!
