Another Brooklyn Brand That Wants To Experience Living In A Championship City: Catbird Is Coming To Town!

The cult brand, known for its delicate, “itty-bitty” layerable jewelry, joins Ayat and Malai in calling Rittenhouse home.

We’re getting the sense that New York brands might be craving the excitement that comes from living in a championship city as Brooklyn-based jewelry brand Catbird opens up this spring.

Sliding into one of the spaces opened up by Allen Edmonds that downsized to a more manageable space (they stayed put at Chestnut, just shrunk their footprint) Catbird is a beloved brand that’s known for being a jewelry store with a district vibe. Per the New York Times:

β€œTo walk into a Catbird store is to enter a world where jewelry and fashionable knickknacks from the brand and other makers are displayed alongside prim trappings like starched white-lace curtains, antique furniture, overgrown house plants and smoky, slightly crooked mirrors.”

The store looks like it will beautifully complement the nearby Avigail Adams, which is also a lovely vibe onto itself.

Catbird’s jewelry is designed AND manufactured in Brooklyn, and they use ethically sourced gold and conflict-free stones. For the girlies that love layerable jewelry, the brand joins Gorjana and Mejuri as another fun option. Add in Tiffanys, Lagos, Pandora, Brilliant Earth, and Angela Monaco Jewelry, it seems that the neighborhood has become a hotspot for jewelry outside of Jeweler’s Row. Which we will HAPPILY accept!

Fun fact: Catbird will be the 3rd Brooklyn brand to open up in Rittenhouse this year, as the Palestinian restaurant Ayat and Malai ice cream are also opening up in 2025. Obviously, being a championship city has some great side benefits!

ETA for Catbird’s opening is this spring and we’ll keep you updated on developments!
