Fly, Eagles, Fly! Here’s A Short Guide To Where You Can Watch The Birds On Game Day

Vibes, food, and drinks matter! So here’s a rundown of the top 16 places to watch the game.

It’s our opinion that, unless you’re at a tailgate, the game, or a friend’s home who has a VERY big TV and plenty of room and food to enjoy, watching the Birds in a public place is fun.

However, you can’t go to just any place. The vibes, the food, the drinks, the crowd: they all matter. So we’ve pulled together a list of 16 places in the neighborhood, each one unique in its own way, where you can watch the game along with food and drinks or, in some cases, while playing golf or pool. We also noted if they offer specials, however, we may have missed some if they weren’t publicly posted.

Enjoy and Go Birds!

1518 Bar & Grill |๐Ÿ“1518 Sansom St

1518 Bar & Grill is a popular nighttime spot as itโ€™s open until 2 am every day (!) but itโ€™s also a great spot for when you just want to chill and watch the game. The interior is classic pub-style, and according to Google reviews, the food is banging. They have 3 strategically placed TVs, so expect them only to have the Eagles game on. Which is good, right?

Black Sheep |๐Ÿ“247 S 17th St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Yelp

Black Sheep is a local favorite. It’s a genuine Irish pub with Guinness on tap, game day drink specials, and your classic pub grub. It’s in a historical, 3-level row home and feels like it’s been here for eternity. It can get crowded so get there early.

Cavanaugh’s |๐Ÿ“1913 Sansom St

While the new Cavanaugh’s doesn’t have any of the history the old location does, it’s one of the most popular spots for Eagles games. They have a DJ, game day specials, award-winning wings (seriously, super good), and, in general, great food. It does get crowded as it’s a super popular spot but you can reserve tables. They have a jumbotron and plenty of TVs, so they’re able to switch some of them to other games. But itโ€™s Eagles territory, first and foremost.

City Tap House |๐Ÿ“2 Logan Square

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

City Tap House is a good spot in Logan Square that gets super busy on weekends all year round because their beer selection is varied and extensive, and the food’s also pretty good! Game day here is even hotter: they have a DJ, drink, and food specials, and giveaways. So, if you want a seat, get here earlier as it WILL get crowded.

Drinker’s Pub |๐Ÿ“1903 Chestnut St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Drinker’s Pub is just that, a pub for gathering and having fun. It’s also one of the most popular bars in the neighborhood with good food (they’re known for their $3 tacos!), socializing, and just hanging out. On game day they take up a few notches with $1.50 tacos (?!), plus other food and drink specials. They have 2 floors but it also gets crowded, so get there early to grab the seat of your choice.

Fado |๐Ÿ“1500 Locust St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Fado is one of your classic Irish pubs A hot spot for European football and impossible to get into on St Pattyโ€™s Day, Fado is also good for Eagles games. Food is your normal tasty pub grub and they have Guinness on tap, as most Irish pubs do. Game day here is fun, and the space has unexpected little nooks and crannies with tables that you can chill at.

Five Iron Golf |๐Ÿ“2116 Chestnut St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Five Iron is an indoor golf SIMs place that’s also a good spot to enjoy the game on Sundays. They have a full bar, strategically placed TVs, comfortable bar chairs, and game day drinks and food specials, like $5 unlimited wings. Plus, if you want to multitask, you can work on your golf swing while watching the game.

Founding Fathers |๐Ÿ“1612 South St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Founding Fathers

Founding Fathers is a hotspot for European football and sports overall but on Sunday, it’s Eagles time. They are a popular neighborhood bar with a surprisingly good cheesesteak so yes, it’s BUSY on game day. However, no matter where you sit or stand, they have plenty of TVs, game day food, and drink specials. Expect a good time with fellow sports fans.

Giovani’s |๐Ÿ“1533 Chestnut St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Giovani’s is a local favorite for pizza and wings but when the Eagles play, it’s the spot to enjoy a DJ, food and drink specials, and yes, their great pizza and wings during the game. Not surprisingly, it does get crowded on game day so strategize accordingly.

Good Dog |๐Ÿ“224 S 15th St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Good Dog is another good bar with great food. But this is the only bar we know of that has 3 levels, and photos of good boys and good girls on the wall, which gives it something extra special. It’s fun, it’s casual, and another good option to hang out and watch the Eagles play.

Ladder15 |๐Ÿ“1528 Sansom St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Ladder15 is one of the local hotspots for evenings out and, not surprisingly, game day is no different. The party and social vibes carry on through game day, with drink specials and a DJ, so put on your best Eagles gear and prepare to hang out while potentially making new friends.

Lucyโ€™s |๐Ÿ“1720 Chestnut St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Lucy’s is new to Rittenhouse but it’s already a hit spot for sports. They have tons of TVs, and a jumbotron, and when the Eagles play, they turn up the energy with a DJ and drink specials.

Misconduct |๐Ÿ“1511 Locust St | ๐Ÿ“1801 JFK Blvd

Misconduct has 2 locations in the neighborhood: 1 in Rittenhouse and 1 in Logan Square. Both are pretty spacious, making it a good option for large groups. They have a wide selection of beers, cocktails, wine, seltzers, etc, in case some of your friends want something different. It gets busy on game day but getting a seat or table shouldn’t be a problem.

The Goat | ๐Ÿ“1907 Sansom St

If you’re a foodie, or have a foodie friend, or just want a chill vibe, then you’re in luck: The Goat bills itself as a gastropub, with food options ranging from a cheese plate to steak frites. They get busy on game day but it’s never packed. If you want to multitask while watching the game, they have a pool table not too far from the bar.

Topside Tavern | ๐Ÿ“10 S 20th St

๐Ÿ“ธ: Google

Topside Tavern is new to town, so itโ€™s still relatively under the radar, giving you an option for when you want to watch the game without being packed in a crowd. They offer game day specials and with menu options like pork riblets, Chesapeake-style crabcakes, and Cornish hen, you’ll also make your foodie friend very happy.

Victory Brewing | ๐Ÿ“1776 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy

We’re fortunate to have a brewery in town, and even more fortunate that it’s Victory. They offer a wide array of beers and ciders, plus spirits from Southern Tier Distilling, and have a good food menu as well. The double-level space has plenty of TVs, and plenty of room, and the vibes are pure indoor beer garden. While it gets busy for the game, your personal space bubble will remain intact.
