Construction Watch: Demolition Has Begun At The Old Philly Housing Authority Site
The long-vacant building is making way for a new residential apartment building.
It seems that the project to build residential apartments at the old and derelict former Philadelphia Housing Authority site is slowly moving forward.
The former PHA building occupies a long stretch of Chestnut Street and has been occupied by squatters (and more) for quite some time. But this pile of wood on the side of the building is new and the building appears to be truly vacant.
We’re anxious to see this site transformed as Chestnut Street is a nice street, even if it has crazy traffic, similar to Walnut Street.
