Diamonds Are Forever, But So Is Self-Care: Bathhouse To Transform The Former Tiffany Space
Brooklyn’s social wellness sensation is taking over the entire former Tiffany space with four pools, four saunas that’ll transform how Rittenhouse relaxes.
Here’s some news that’ll have you clearing your calendar for mid-2026: Bathhouse, the luxury wellness concept that’s been making serious waves in Brooklyn, is coming to Philadelphia in a MAJOR way per the Business Journal. And when we say major, we mean they’re taking over the entire former Tiffany & Co. space at the Bellevue building—all 36,000 square feet of prime real estate at 200 S. Broad Street.
The transformation from engagement rings to relaxation pools is honestly the kind of plot twist we didn’t see coming in 2026 but we’re pretty psyched about it.

The Tiffany Space Gets a Whole New Kind of Sparkle
For those who remember browsing those iconic blue boxes and sparkling diamond displays at this corner location, this represents quite the evolution. Tiffany & Co. closed this Bellevue location as part of their broader retail strategy changes, leaving behind a stunning space with those gorgeous street-level windows and prime visibility right where Walnut Street meets Broad.
Now instead of trying on engagement rings, visitors will be soaking in mineral-rich pools—and honestly, both activities fall firmly in the self-care category, just with very different price tags and very different kinds of immersion.

What Exactly IS Bathhouse?
If you haven’t heard of Bathhouse yet, here’s the quick version: they’re not your typical day spa experience. The brand has made a serious name for itself in Brooklyn with what they call “social wellness”—think communal bathing with a very modern, very inclusive, very Instagram-worthy twist.
Their Philadelphia location will feature four pools and four saunas spread across that massive 36,000-square-foot footprint. Each pool and sauna is designed to create different atmospheres and experiences, which means you could visit multiple times and have completely different vibes depending on which spaces you gravitate toward.
The architectural renderings for one of the New York locations—designed by Rockwell Group—show off Bathhouse’s signature aesthetic: dramatic exposed brick walls, warm ambient lighting, and those beautifully tiered pools that look like they belong in some impossibly chic Icelandic retreat (but way more accessible and, you know, actually in our neighborhood).

Four Pools, Four Saunas, Infinite Possibilities
The pool offerings will range across different temperatures and mineral compositions—we’re talking cold plunges, warm soaking pools, and everything in between. The sauna situation is equally varied, with options ranging from traditional wood-lined Finnish-style spaces to more contemporary designs with different heat levels and aromatherapy elements.

While the exact specifications are still TBD, the concept is all about giving visitors choices. Want a classic dry sauna experience? They’ve got you. Prefer something with steam and eucalyptus? Also covered. Looking to alternate between hot and cold for that Scandinavian wellness experience everyone’s been talking about? That’s (fortunately!) the whole point.
The Bellevue’s Ongoing Renaissance
The Bellevue building has been having quite the moment these past few years. The hotel continues to thrive, the nearby business spaces like Flight Club Darts are seeing new energy , and now this massive wellness addition will make it even more of a must-visit destination rather than just a pass-through building.
It’s proof that this stretch of Broad Street is coming back stronger than ever, and we’re SO here for it.

Timing Couldn’t Be Better
The wellness and self-care conversation has absolutely exploded over the past few years (cough, pandemic), and Rittenhouse’s spa scene has been pretty limited when it comes to this kind of social, communal experience. Sure, we have lovely day spas scattered around the city, but nothing quite like what Bathhouse is bringing—that combination of serious relaxation, social connection, and utterly gorgeous spaces.

Bathhouse’s Brooklyn location has become something of a phenomenon—a place where wellness meets community, where you’re just as likely to strike up a conversation with a stranger in the sauna as you are to have a deeply restorative solo experience. The concept taps into that growing desire for experiences that are both rejuvenating AND social.
What’s Next?

Construction is already underway—walk by the space and you can see the massive transformation taking place behind those beautiful windows. We’re talking about completely reimagining nearly 40,000 square feet of prime Center City real estate, which is no small undertaking.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on construction progress (obviously!) and will definitely share any updates about opening timelines, membership options, or sneak peeks at those gorgeous interior spaces as we get them. In the meantime, mark your calendars for mid-2026—by then, we’ll be able to soak in mineral pools and sweat it out.
