After 4 1/2 years at 1705 Walnut Street Scotch and Soda, the lifestyle brand that was determined to bring us the “spirit of Amsterdam” has closed its doors.

The Netherlands based company had filed for bankruptcy earlier in March of this year. Bluestar Alliance who owns other lifestyle brands like Tahari, Bebe, and Hurley, acquired its assets and embarked immediately on downsizing its number of stores across the US.

The closed Philadelphia location joins other defunct Scotch & Soda stores in New York, DC, Ohio, North Carolina, and others per Retail Dive. Google Maps lists it as a temporary closure but the handwritten Post-It on the door indicates otherwise.
